Bobby James Phillips
Bobby James Phillips, 70, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 in Bentonville, AR. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Wednesday, June 05, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and again Thursday, June 06, 2013 9:00 until 9:45 am. Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 06, 2013 at 10:00 am in the chapel with burial following in the Eastern Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Ray Ingram. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Phillips had lived in Brandon, MS for the past twenty nine years, moving from Forest, MS and he was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, singing and spending time with his family. He worked in the automobile industry for over forty three years at various dealerships in the Central Mississippi area and owned Travelers Automotive in Forest, MS for the last fourteen years. He enjoyed storytelling and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gracen and I.V. Phillips; his sister, Faye Chambers; and nephew, Donnie Chambers.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverly Chambers Phillips of Brandon, MS; two daughters, Kristie Phillips Dean of Bella Vista, AR; Kim Phillips of Hollywood, CA; two sisters, Linda Carter of Clinton, MS; Glenda Crout of Forest, MS; one brother, Larry Phillips of Sibley, LA; granddaughter, Anna Grace Dean, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The pallbearers will be Russell Carter, Shawn Chambers, Tim Chambers, Joe Crout, Larry “Bubba” Phillips, Jr., and Mike Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Stuart Ashton, III, Randy Carter, Ruston Carter, Andy Chambers, Tre’ Chambers
