Steve McCann

Steve McCann, age 66, passed away on March 4, 2024, at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, MS. His visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. His services will take place on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM, in our Funeral Home Chapel in Lake, MS. His burial will follow at Lake Cemetery in Lake, MS. Bro. David McLauren will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services. 

Steve was born on September 10, 1957, to Walter Lee McCann and Agnes Pearl McMillan in Forest, MS. Steve spent most of his life in Lake, MS., formally living in Picayune, MS and Louisiana. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church in Forest, MS. Steve was a lifelong oilfield worker and he was a loving husband, father, brother, son, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, cook and spending time with his family.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Walter Lee McCann (Edna) and Agnes Pearl McCann, his two brothers, Gary and Donald McCann, and his grandmother, Mattie McMillan. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Charlotte McCann of Lake, MS; his five children, Amber Williams (Keith) of Southaven, MS, Krystal Weaver of Lake, MS, Christopher Weaver (Lisa) of Lake, MS, Daniel McCann (Alexandria) of Pearl, MS, and Aaron McCann of Lake, MS; his three sisters, Kathy Smith (Sandy) of Picayune, MS, Amy Wilson (Josh) of Huntsville, AL, and Brenda Smith of Picayune, MS; his brother, Kenneth McCann (Brenda) of Lake, MS; fifteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, one on the way and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

Pallbearers will be William Holland, Rickey Holland, Brandon Weaver, Kilynn Westbrook, Justin Myers, and Gary Mayes. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Clark and Nic Hollingshead.
