Ruth Goodman White, 91, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Mississippi State Hospital. A graveside service was held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Cross Roads Baptist Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Officiating was Rev. John Vaughn. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ruth had lived most of her live in the Cross Roads Community in Rankin County and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Cross Roads High School and she was elected “Most Beautiful” and “Miss Cross Roads”. She enjoyed cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Zeb White, and a daughter, Sandra Long.
She is survived by two sons, Gary White and wife Pat of Pelahatchie; Jeff White and wife Ida Mae of Brandon; one daughter, Deborah Howaitt and husband Jon of Alaska; two sisters, Audrey Johnson and Myrna Cooper both of Brandon; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Glenn McCaffrey, Jason McCaffrey, Trey McCaffrey, Renae White, Cody Cole, and Mark Cole.
