Claudia Christine Weaver

Mrs. Claudia Christine Weaver age 89, passed away Monday August 10th 2020 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A visitation will be held at Cash Baptist Church in Lena, MS on Thursday August 13th 2020 from 5:00PM until 6:00PM with a funeral service to follow. Brother M.L. Wallace and Brother Martin Hayden will officiate.
Mrs. Weaver was a longtime resident of the Cash community in Scott County, MS. She was a member of Cash Baptist Church in Lena, MS. She graduated from Goodhope High School in Lena, MS. She married the love of her life, Buddy Weaver and shared 65 years with him before his passing in 2015. They had one son, Danny Weaver. She will be remembered for her faithful, sacrificial love for her family and friends. If she knew you, she loved you and wanted to give you something to eat. She loved to cook and she made pies for Walnut Grove fish house after her retirement. Her caramel cake, pies and dumplings were the best. She loved the Lord and served with Buddy as clerk and treasurer of Cash Baptist Church for 45 years. She retired from Carthage Corporation with 42 years of service.

Mrs. Weaver is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence (Buddy) Weaver; her parents, Sylvester Babb and Bennie Lewis Babb; brothers, Virgil Lee Babb and Jimmy Babb; sister, Louise Babb Moore. She is survived by her son; Danny Wayne (Betty) Weaver; grandchildren, Dawn (Kevin) McKee and Joey Weaver; great grandchildren, Bailey, Drew and Landon Clay McKee; Addie Grace and Dannon Weaver; sisters, Marjorie Faye (Wayne) Thompson, Patsy (Jimmy) Withers; Sylvia(Michael) Kittrell; brother, Dolen (Onie) Babb and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers are Kevin McKee, Drew McKee, Joey Weaver, Edwin Pope, Josh Slay, Frankie Lewis, Randy Pope and Glenn Babb. Honorary Pallbearers are Dannon Weaver and Landon McKee.
