Clyde L. Watkins

Mr. Clyde L. Watkins, age 70, passed away on Monday January 28, 2019 at his home in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Thursday January 31, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:50 p.m. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS with Bro. Carl Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Two Mile Baptist Church Cemetery, Morton, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton MS is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Watkins had lived the past 12 years in Arkansas formerly living in Morton, MS. He was Apostolic by faith. He was a very gifted musician and was the lead guitar player for the Mountain View Gospel Opera for three years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Naomi Watkins; two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Sandra Watkins of Morton, MS; his two daughters Janice Hughes of Rector, AR & Christy Watkins of, Morton, MS; his three sons, Jimmy Watkins and Scotty Smith of Morton, MS, and David Watkins of Rector, AR; his Grandson, whom he considered a son, James Bradshaw, III of Morton, MS; his brother Willie G. “Bill” Watkins of Morton, MS. His three grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and his special little dog, Scooter.
Pallbearers will be Scotty Smith, David Watkins, Jimmy Watkins, James Bradshaw, III, Sam Moore, and Jerry Renfroe.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
