Mrs. Terry Lynn Gaddis, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, was born on November 12, 1961, in Forest, Mississippi. She departed from this world on September 22, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Raised in Homewood, Terry was a proud native of Scott County, where she spent her entire life. A 1979 graduate of Forest High School, she captured the hearts of many with her spirit and passion, particularly excelling in Basketball and Cheerleading. Her determination was evident, not only in her athletic pursuits but also in the vibrant way she approached all aspects of life.
Terry’s unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her existence as a devoted member of High Hill Baptist Church in Raleigh, Mississippi. There, she formed bonds with her community, offering love and support to friends and neighbors alike.
Her family was the center of her world. She is survived by her husband, Johnny “Cowboy” Gaddis, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Together, they cultivated a home filled with warmth and joy. Terry's love extended fiercely to her children—daughter Kisha Cahoon (Trey) and son Alan Gaddis (Sunnie)—who continue to carry forward her spirit with every day they live. Her grandchildren, Rhett Cahoon, Sadie Cahoon, Adaleigh Gaddis, Renli Gaddis, and John Alan Gaddis, II., were her pride and joy, continually filling her life with laughter and light.
Terry was also a loving sister to Jack Windham (Lindy), Tony Windham (Rose), and Steve Windham (Tresha). Their close-knit relationship formed an unbreakable bond, stitched together with shared memories and mutual support. In addition to her immediate family, she leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her kindness and laughter.
Terry was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Vermel Windham, who nurtured her into the remarkable woman she became. Her life was a testament to love and compassion, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, Mississippi, on September 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and again on September 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM. A funeral service celebrating her life will follow on September 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
