Teresa Ann Leamond

Teresa Ann Leamond, born on January 18, 1967, in Leake County, MS, departed this life on May 12, 2025, at her residence in Philadelphia, MS. A cherished member of her community, Teresa exemplified a profound love for her family, dedicating her time and energy to nurturing those she held dear.

As a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, Teresa leaves behind a legacy marked by warmth and devotion. She is survived by her son, Joshua Leamond, and his wife Charity, residing in Puckett, MS; her loving daughter, Britney Louise Leamond and her partner, accompanied by Marcus Thomas of Philadelphia, MS and her grandchildren, Annie Rose Leamond and Isabella Grace Leamond, who brought immense joy to her life. Her sisters, Tammy Lynn Gilbert of Lena, MS, Twyla Daneen Pope of Ackerman, MS, and Laurie Mae Gilbert of Forkville, MS, also carry forward the memory of their loving sibling.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Talmadge Howton; her mother, Betty Wallace Coward; and her brother, James Ellis Mason. These family ties shaped her character and fostered her deep commitment to familial bonds, which she cherished throughout her life.

A devoted member of Goodhope Baptist Church in Lena, MS, Teresa found strength in her faith and community. Her presence in the church brought comfort and fellowship to many who had the pleasure of knowing her. Throughout her life, Teresa demonstrated an unwavering spirit of kindness and generosity, leaving an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to be part of her world.

As we remember Teresa Ann Leamond, we honor her life—a life rich with love, family, and faith—a true testament to her remarkable journey on this earth. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
