Michelle Sutherlin (Ivy)

Michelle Ivy Sutherlin, loving wife and mother, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Michelle attended Saint Scholastica Academy in Covington (where she would meet her future husband) before graduating from the University of Tennessee and then moving to New Orleans, Louisiana with her husband and children. She is survived by her husband, Ray Sutherlin, their two children, Windham (8) and Ray Jr., (6), as well as her father, Barry “Bar”, her mother Becky, her grandmother Bernice “MiMi” Windham of Homewood, Mississippi, and her siblings Robin and Eric. Michelle was a devoted mother, loving wife, daughter, and friend. She loved fiercely and always had a smile on her face. She was one of those people you felt like you’ve known your entire life after a brief conversation. There will be a visitation on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am with a memorial and reflections beginning at 11:45am. Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 12:00 PM, at Homewood Methodist Church Cemetery in Forest, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to any charity caring for animals or to a charity of your choice.
