Stephen E. Wicker, a resilient and compassionate soul, passed away on March 21, 2026, at UMMC Jackson, Mississippi. Born on September 21, 1990, in Hinds County, Mississippi, Stephen faced extraordinary challenges from the very beginning. Diagnosed with spina bifida, he was told he would not live beyond his first year. Yet, with remarkable determination and spirit, Stephen defied these early predictions and lived a life that touched many around him.

For the past twelve years, Stephen called Pulaski, Mississippi, his home, having moved there from Lake, Mississippi. Those who knew him describe Stephen as a man of quiet strength and warmth, someone who found joy in simple pleasures. He deeply loved playing his games, a pastime that brought him comfort and happiness, and he had an enduring affection for all animals, reflecting a gentle and caring nature that defined much of his character.

Stephen was a beloved son to Melanie Wicker and is remembered fondly by his sister Alanna Myers and her partner Mark Emmons. His warmth extended to his nephews and nieces, including Jayden Myers and Emma McCrocklin, who held a special place in his heart. He was also cherished by aunts and uncles Jeffrey and Peggy Gentry, Marie and Bill Elmore, Cindy and Ty, and Lisa and Clay Dennis, as well as several cousins who mourn his loss and celebrate his life.

Stephen's family has also mourned the passing of loved ones, including his father, Ralph E. Wicker, paternal grandparents Arthur and Ellie Gentry, maternal grandparents Buddy and Marie Myers, uncle Robby Myers, and cousins Henry Elmore and Catlin Myers.

Stephen E. Wicker’s journey was one of courage and heartfelt connection. He faced life's challenges with a quiet strength that inspired those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory endures in the love he shared and the lives he touched.
