Sompit "Sam" Hannah
Sompit "Sam" Hannah passed away peacefully in the early hours of August 08, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, kindness, and compassion.
Sam was a devoted woman of faith who loved her church and cherished the time she spent with family, friends, and those in her community. She had a special gift for caring for others, whether through a home-cooked meal, a helping hand, or simply being there when someone needed her. Sam found joy in caring for the people around her. Her love for cooking was one of the many ways she showed her love and brought people together.
Sam was preceded in death by her mother and father, who lived in Thailand; her two brothers and sister; her beloved husband, William Kerry Hannah; her step-grandchildren, Kerry Hannah and Jimmy Hannah; and her step-granddaughter, Lauren Hannah.
She leaves behind her loving stepchildren; Scott Hannah (Erin Hannah), Joann Allen (Rodney Allen), Kathy Hannah, Lynda Hester (Tery Hester), and Tom Hannah (Beth Hannah), her daughter-in-law, Barbara Hannah, along with extended family, friends, her church family, and many other whose lives were touched by her kindness.
Sam will be remembered for her generous heart, her devotion to her faith, her love of cooking, and most of all, the way she cared for others. She gave of herself freely and made people feel welcomed, loved, and cared for. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and her kindness left an impression that will never be forgotten.
Sam's faith was an important part of her life, and those who loved her can take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. After a life filled with love and caring for others, she has been called home and reunited with her beloved husband, Kerry, and the family members who went before her.
Rest peacefully, Sam. You are loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten. Until we meet again.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 10:00 am at the New Goodhope Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Joe Crane officiating.
