Mr. W.T. Smith age 73, passed away Monday July 20th 2020 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 22nd 2020 at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of the Morton, MS area. He was a Baptist by faith. He played guitar and participated in several benefits for people in need.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Smith and Sara Renfroe Smith; sister, Katie Wilson; brothers, Melvin Smith and Elmo Smith; great grandson, Kyng Brace. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Smith of Pelahatchie; daughter, Anglea Smith of Pelahatchie; siblings, Louise Burnham, Betty Faye Strebeck, Ruth Smith, Owen Smith, Johnny Smith and Bobby Nelson Smith; grandchildren, Kristen Coghlan, Frederick Harper and Justyn Harper; great grandchildren, Aaliya Coghlan, Brooklyn Coghlan and Kyniah Morgan.
