Eddie Marshall Smith

Mr. Eddie Marshall Smith age 73, passed away Sunday February 2, 2020 at MS Care Center in Morton, MS. A visitation will be held Tuesday February 4, 2020 at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton MS from 5:00PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday February 5, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 1:50 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 5, 2020 at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS at 2:00 PM Burial will be at Leesburg Baptist Cemetery, there will be no graveside services. Brother Tal Vardaman will officiate.
Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of the Leesburg Community in Rankin County, MS. He was a member of Leesburg Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era in which he was Special Forces and a former Green Beret. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved classic cars, NASCAR and he was a former member of the Wood Acres Hunting Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney L. and Geneva Smith; two brothers, Sidney A., Victor Wayne Smith and nephew, Tyler Smith. He is survived by his daughters, Tambra S. Worrell (Michael) of Forest, MS, Tanya Smith (Ricky Bobo) of Morton, MS; mother of his children, Maxine Smith of Morton, MS; sister, Bonnie J. Morris (Gene) of Pearl, MS; two grandchildren, Dusty Smith and Candice Smith; two great-grandchildren, Canden Smith and Caysen Smith as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Smith, Joe Rigby, Cody Smith, Charlie Nelson, Joey Rigby and Nicky Crapps. Honorary Pallbearers are Sonny Garland, Charles Wesley Trest, Melvin Parker, Roy Garcia, Gary Pettigrew, Canden Smith, Cayson Smith, and Buster Meeks.
