Willie Shoemaker

Willie Henry Shoemaker, 75, born November 26, 1946, passed away on January 9, 2022, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services, Morton, MS. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Leesburg Church of Christ Cemetery, Morton, MS with Bro. Jack Stewart officiating all under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Willie was the son of Willie B. Shoemaker and Mary B. Wadford. He was lifelong resident of Rankin and Scott counties. He was a member of Leesburg Church of Christ in Morton, MS. He was a member of the Lions Club, enjoyed hunting in his younger years. His main hobby/passion was antique car, car shows, buying, selling, restoration and enjoyed watching John Wayne movies.
Willie is proceeded in death by his wife Glenda Shoemaker; parents, Willie B. and Mary B. Shoemaker; daughter, Keisha Wingate and grandson Robert Wingate. He is survived by his children, John Wayne Smith (Wanda), Keith Shoemaker, Brandi Till, Catherine Poarch (Tim) and Sabrina Frith; three sister, Mary B. Craig, I’lynn Ainsworth, and Gracie Shoemaker; one brother Jerry Shoemaker; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
