Shirley Ann Horsley Robinson

Shirley Ann Horsley Robinson, a cherished member of the Morton community, passed away on December 15, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Born on September 28, 1947, in Morton, Mississippi, she lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service.

Shirley pursued her passion for education, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was not only an advocate for learning but also made a significant impact as an educator to many, inspiring countless students. In 1994, she moved from Brandon, Mississippi, to Morton, where she became a valued member of the Morton Methodist Church, finding joy and connection in her faith and community.

Shirley had a myriad of interests that brought her joy throughout her life. She loved fishing, spending time with family, and immersing herself in yard work and gardening. Additionally, she enjoyed sewing, as well as having a penchant for collecting various items. Shirley was known as an avid conversationalist.

She is survived by her daughters, Saundra McLemore (Jamie) and Stephanie Cantrell (Mitchell). She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Sandra McLemore (Lewis), and her sister, Frances Waters (Rickey), as well as sisters-in-law, Angie Miley and Georgia Horsley. She is survived by Caitlin Kisner (Matt), Robyn Sessums (Grant), Hannah Nichols (Mason), Clare Beard (Quint), Cody Gilbert (Megan), and Jacob Gilbert.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Glen Miley and Mary Agnes Thomas Miley, as well as her brother, Gerald Horsley, and her brother, Ronnie Miley. 

Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton on December 20, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. The family invites all who knew Shirley to join in celebrating her life and sharing fond memories.
