Sheri Rae Prestage

Mrs. Sheri Rae Prestage, 57, of Morton passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.  Visitation will be on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 5:00PM until 9:00PM and Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 1:50 PM with her Funeral Service following at 2:00 PM, all at Springfield Baptist Church in Morton, MS.  Bro. Bill Prestage, Bro. Jerry Lewis and Bro. Jason Price will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

Sheri was born to H. T. and Betsy Comfort on May 29, 1966, in Morton, MS.  She was a lifelong resident of Morton.  Sheri was a member of Springfield Baptist Church.  She was a 1983 graduate of Morton High School where she excelled in softball and basketball and was a FFA Sweetheart.  Sheri then went on to pursue a Nursing Degree at Hinds Community College.  She worked as a nurse at Leake Memorial Hospital, Scott Regional Hospital, then Beverly Healthcare as a DON and consultant, St. Dominic Hospital ER and River Oaks ER.  Sheri loved her family dearly.

Sheri is preceded in death by her father, H. T. Comfort; daughter, Stefanie Harper; Sister Sheena Miles and uncles, Jimmy Lane Cooper and Billy Cooper (Nettie).  She is survived by her husband, Richard Prestage of Morton; mother, Betsy Comfort of Morton; daughters, Chloe Prestage of Morton, Holli Cothran (Sparks) of Harvest, AL; son, Justin Nutt of Morton; Isaiah, who considered Sheri as Mommy; brother-in-law, Tommy Miles of Morton; nephew, Tom Miles; niece, Stacey Miles; extended family, Josh and Emily Hall, Lane and Levi, Patricia Arthur (Jimmy), Dwayne Prestage (Nancy), Rebekah Hines, Mary and Daniel Napp and Janice Cooper.  Pallbearers are Josh Hall, Lane Cooper, Cody Jackson, Channing Goodman, Matt Prestage, Tom Miles and Gage Horton.  Honorary pallbearers are Lamar "Cotton" Garner, Howard Hayman, Steve Goodman, Daniel Napp and Garrett Prestage.

Memorials are welcomed to be made to Springfield Baptist Church in Memory of Sheri Prestage.
