Mrs. Ruby Grace (Moore) Schmidt age 69, passed away Tuesday January 21, 2020 at her home in Pelahatchie, MS. A visitation will be held on Saturday January 25, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Thornhill Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS with memorial service to follow.
Ruby was Baptist by faith and a member of Thornhill Baptist Church. She loved God and her church and was called to the ministry along with her husband Harold. She spent her life serving in the church, she played piano and sang but most of all her gift was loving and serving others by sharing the love of God with everyone she could. Even though she lost her sight and fought several physical ailments, she always stayed focused on her God, her husband, and the ministry they were called to. She is preceded in death by her birth mother Ruby May Huff Moore ; her biological father, Herbert Moore; adoptive parents, Onee and Eva Winstead; brother, Buster Moore. She is survived by her husband Harold Schmidt; sister, Elaine (Donald) O’Bryant (Memphis, TN); brother, Perry (Sylvia) Moore of Cooperville, MS; her special little dog “Little Man” and a host of extended family and friends.
