Sarah McDaniel

Sarah McDaniel, a cherished member of the Homewood community, passed away on April 19, 2026, at the MS Baptist Medical Center. Born on September 18, 1957, in Smith County, Mississippi, Sarah lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep devotion to her family and faith.

Sarah was a proud graduate of Raleigh High School in 1975, after which she embarked on a career as a medical records clerk, serving with diligence and care in various capacities. For the past 25 years, she made her home in Homewood, Mississippi, where she was a member of the Homewood Baptist Church. 

Those who knew Sarah remember her fondly for her love of shopping and her treasured vacations in the Great Smoky Mountains. She brought joy to simple pleasures and shared those moments generously with loved ones.

Sarah is survived by her devoted husband, Keith McDaniel, who stood beside her with unwavering love. She also leaves behind her siblings, Dianne Henderson (George David), Brenda Foreman (Ronnie), Jamie Phipps (Stephanie), and David Phipps, all of whom cherish her memory deeply.

She was preceded in death by her son, Shannon Purvis, her parents, Carl and Vivian Phipps, and her brothers, Walter and Gerald Phipps. The family also mourns the loss of her nephew, Michael Allan Foreman.

A visitation to honor Sarah's life will be held on April 22, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Homewood Baptist Church located at 11565 Morton-Marathon Rd, Forest, Mississippi 39074. Following the visitation, a funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Sarah McDaniel's life was a testament to kindness and devotion. She will be remembered with great respect and love by all who had the privilege to know her.
