Doris Faye Runnels, 78, a resident of Morton, MS passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Mississippi Care Center, Morton, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 5:30 until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 8:30 until 9:45 am. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:00 am in the chapel with burial following in Morton Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Matt Armstrong and Bro. Jathan Price. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Runnels had been in the Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS for the past three years. She had lived in Forkville, MS of the past twenty years and she was a member of the North Morton Baptist Church in Morton, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Runnels; her father, Virgil Martin; her mother, Emile Garner; two brothers, Cloys and Bill Martin; four sisters, Marle Renfroe, Carolyn Coley, Jean Beatty, Virginia Purvis; and son-in-law, Rocky Wolf.
She is survived by one son, James “Ricky” Runnels and wife Joyce of Morton, MS; two daughters, Darlene Craig and husband Kenny of Morton, MS; Sandra Wolf of Forest, MS; three sisters, Wiladean Luckey of Magee, MS; Charlotte Evans and Merlene Settlemire both of Morton, MS; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Tony McCrory, Buck Wolf, Jeffery Runnels, Jeremy Runnels, Nick McCrory, and Coby McCrory. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Shirley.
Memorials may be made to Mississippi Care Center, 96 Old Hwy 80 East, Morton, MS 39117.
