Johnnie E. Rogers, 87, a resident of Morton passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 5:30 until 9:00 pm and funeral services were Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 9:30 am. Burial was in Sims Hill Cemetery, Morton, MS. Officiating was Rev. Earl Clark and Rev. Matt Armstrong. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
She had lived in Morton, MS since 1950 and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morton, MS. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Rogers in 2010; one daughter, Cheryl Ann Rogers, and one son Ronald Joe Rogers.
She is survived by five sons, Bill Rogers of Morton, MS; Bob Rogers of Brandon, MS; Rusty Rogers of Forkville, MS; Mickey Rogers and Tim Rogers both of Pulaski, MS; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Rogers, Bob Rogers, Rusty Rogers, Mickey Rogers, Tim Rogers, and Justin Rogers.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Family Life Center, P.O. Box 110, Morton, MS 39117.
