Pat is survived by his children Daniel Reilly and Pamella (Doyle) Herrington both of Conehatta, MS. Pat was a man who expressed his creativity in many ways including acrylic painting, writing, singing, wood carving, and building unique birdhouses. He never shied away from trying something new.
God blessed him with the gift of writing beautiful poetry. His pen name was Pat “Poppa” Reilly and some of his poems were published. Pat ventured into singing at local churches and donated his time and talent singing gospel music to nursing home residents.
Pat was a strong Christian man who loved Jesus, family and people. He never met a stranger which led him to be a successful salesman. After semi-retiring, he worked in the meat department of a local grocery store. He loved so many things which included fishing and going to garage sales.
Pat’s favorite Bible verse was Psalms 30: 2 KJV “O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.”
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request memorials be sent to the Gideons for the distribution of Bibles. The Gideons International Processing Center, 625 Old Hwy 49S, Richland, MS 39128.
