Christopher “Boo Boo” Prestage, 21, a resident of Walnut Grove passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at University Medical Center, Jackson, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services on Wednesday, September 01, 2010 from 5:30 until 8:00 PM and Thursday, September 02, 2010 from 8:00 until 9:45 AM and services were at 10:00 AM in the chapel with burial following in the Farm Rest Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Anthony Prestage and George Sciple. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Christopher had lived in Walnut Grove for the past two years, moving from Lena, MS and he was a Baptist. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and he loved to mechanic on motors. He also loved to help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Prestage, Buddy Logan, Louis Prestage and Ellis Lee Burnham; sister, Donna Marie Westbrooks.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Prestage, Walnut Grove; parents, Jeffrey and Karen Prestage, Lena; son, Matthew Prestage, Walnut Grove; two sisters, Nancy Ellingburg, Mendenhall; Brittany Stewart, Raleigh; one brother, Jamie Westbrooks, Brandon; maternal grandmother, Barbara Logan, Mendenhall; paternal grandparents, Bill and Betty Maner, Canton; paternal great-grandmother, Flossie Prestage, Lena; special niece, Michelle Ellingburg, Mendenhall; and special friend Justin Adams; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jamie Westbrooks, George Jones, Jonathan Garner, Justin Adams, Robert Life, Shannon Ellingburg, Tommy Bryan, and Larry Bryan. Honorary pallbearers
were the co-workers of Sorey Tire Company.
