Bobby Carl Porter

Bobby Carl Porter, age 85, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at his residence in Forest, MS. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Services will take place in our Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Clifton Cemetery in Forest, MS. Bro. Joey Smith and Rev. Kenneth Walters will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Bobby was born to Woods Eastland Porter and Onie Christine Jones on September 4, 1937, in Scott County, MS. He was a lifelong resident of Scott County. Bobby was an avid coon hunter. He loved hunting with his daddy. Bobby served his country in the National Guard. He was a USDA poultry grader for twenty–five years and his passion was farming. Bobby enjoyed trail-riding with the Central MS Trail riders. He enjoyed visiting and talking with the people of his community. His great granddaughter was the apple of his eye.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Woods Eastland Porter and Onie Christine Jones. He is survived by his wife, Ann Bragg Porter; two children, Cindy Craig (Ronnie) of Morton, MS and Carl Eastland Porter (Kim) of Grenada, MS; three sisters, Faye Walters (Rev. Kenneth) of Hattiesburg, MS, Joyce Worrell of Forest, MS and Debbie Chaney (A. B.) of Little Rock, MS; three grandchildren, Morgan Mangum (Evan) of Morton, MS, Dr. Paige Porter of Grenada, MS and Peyton Porter of Flowood, MS and great granddaughter, Leighton Mangum of Morton, MS.
Pallbearers will be Peyton Porter, Evan Mangum, Ricky Harrell, Michael Worrell, Spencer Beckwith and Gary Phillipson.
Honor pallbearers will be Mike Crawford, Heath Cooper, Billy Pope, Richard Pope, Chris McDonald, Bailey Jones and Mike Richmond.
