Patty Edwards

Patty Edwards, a lifelong resident of Scott County, Mississippi, passed away on April 20, 2026, at UMMC Jackson, Mississippi. Born on August 8, 1947, in Scott County.

As a devoted Baptist, Patty's faith provided strength and guidance throughout her years. She had a profound love for the outdoors, finding joy in horseback riding, hunting, gardening, and yard work. These passions were not merely pastimes but expressions of her enduring connection to the land and the natural world she cherished so deeply.

Patty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Van Edwards. She also mourned the loss of her parents, Buck and Neva Dennis, her brother, Paul Barkley, and her son, David Everett. 

She is survived by her loving daughter, Terri Graham (Keith), and son, Ken Everett, who carry forward her spirit and values. Patty’s legacy also lives on through her grandchildren: Marla Graham, Devyn Graham, and Crystal Cole, each of whom were a source of immense pride and joy for her.

Patty Edwards will be remembered not only for her love of life and the outdoors but also for the warmth and care she extended to her family and community. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Patty’s life was a testament to the beauty of faith, family, and the simple pleasures found in the world around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
