Patsy "Pappy" Hall, born on February 10, 1949, in Pensacola, Florida, passed away on July 30, 2025, at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Pappy leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories that will resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
For the past fifty years, Pappy made her home in Forest, Mississippi, where she was an active member of her community, embracing life with a spirited enthusiasm. Her faith as a Baptist guided her and provided her with strength and comfort throughout her journey. Pappy had a great affection for shopping and enjoyed quality moments spent with her family, including her beloved fur babies. One of her greatest joys was gathering around the television to watch episodes of Family Feud, finding delight in the laughter and camaraderie it brought her family.
Pappy is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Rushing (Steve) of Forest, MS, and Shelley Harris of Forest, MS, along with her two sisters, Tammy Richardson (Ronnie) of Decatur, MS, and Tracy Alexander (David) of Lake, MS. Her brother, Guy Broome of Lake, MS, along with her four grandchildren—Justin Rushing, Brooke Puckett, Joshua Rushing, and Breanna Hernandez—and six great-grandchildren will carry forward her joyful spirit. Additionally, she is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, each of whom she valued immensely.
Sadly, Pappy was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Wayne Hall, whom she treasured deeply. She was also welcomed into the arms of her parents, Prentiss Snow and Otheda Jones, along with her brother, Randy Snow, and sister, Terry Dearing, whose memories she held close throughout her life.
Pappy's visitation will be held on August 1, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services located at 136 Front Street, Lake, MS.
As we remember Pappy, let us keep her spirit alive through the love she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the countless lives she touched. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
