Mr. Billy Parker, age 78, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS., passed away Friday February 6, 2015 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 7, 2015 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Sunday February 8, 2015 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday February 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Rehobeth Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. Burial will follow in the Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Parker had lived in Pelahatchie, MS for the past 60 years. He was a member of the Rehobeth Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. He loved gardening and was an avid bass and crappie fisherman and he loved to deer and turkey hunt. He started the Alligator and Weed Control for the Game & Fish Commission at the Ross Barnett Reservoir. He was a diehard Ole Miss Rebel fan and he served his country in the U.S. Army.
Mrs. Parker is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Lucille Parker; two brothers, Cleveland Parker, James Parker; son, James Clayton “Clay” Parker. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Ivy Parker of Pelahatchie, MS.; one daughter, Lisa Parker Trest of Pelahatchie, MS.; one sister, Lucy Parker Cook of Brandon, MS.; six grandchildren, Cassie McKay Meyer, Jordan Parker Holland, Kyle Parker, Allison Parker, Gatlin Trest, Justin Trest; five great grandchildren, Kinley Holland, Walker Meyer, Marley Mae Parker, Kyleigh Parker, Connor Parker.
Pallbearers are David Meyer, Kyle Parker, Gatlin Trest, Justin Trest, Terry McCurdy, Gary Massey, Rusty Cross.
Memorial to: American Heart Association or the Rehobeth Baptist Church Building Fund.
