Gweneth Monk

Mrs. Gweneth Monk, age 80, a resident of Lake, MS passed away Friday May 29, 2015 at St. Dominic- Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 31, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday June 1, 2015 from 8:00 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Monday June 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Pine Ridge Baptist Cemetery in Lawrence, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Nichols and Rev. Roger York. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Monk was a resident of Lake, MS for over 62 years and she was a member of the Lake Christian Church in Lake, MS. She loved cooking, sewing, painting, reading and gardening. She was a member of the Lake Rose Garden Club and supported the Lake Library.
Mrs. Monk is preceded in death by two daughters, Lynn Monk and Rebecca Owens; one son, Gerald Russell Monk. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Monk of Lake, MS; one daughter, Ann Foreman and husband David of Forest, MS; three sisters, Audrey Bout of Lake, MS, Peggy Hawthorne and husband Chuck of Lake, MS, Patsye Harrell and husband Larry of Forest, MS; one brother, Dale Hollingsworth and wife Sarah of Lake, MS; six grandchildren, Gwen Purvis and husband Matt, Erica Jolley and husband Colby, Jessica Lewis and husband Kevin, Matthew Owens and wife Brittany, Zachary Foreman, Berta Windham and husband Zachary; four great grandchildren, Olivia Bradford, Isla Jolley, Jules Jolley and Delilah Williams.
Pallbearers are Zachary Foreman, Matthew Owens, Matt Purvis, Colby Jolley, Kevin Lewis and Lath Harrell.
