Minnie Pearl Mason, a cherished resident of Rankin County for the past 22 years, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood, Mississippi. Born on April 3, 1942, in Mayesville, Georgia. She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle in Florence, Mississippi. Minnie was an honorable member of the Gospel Assembly for 38 years. Minnie Pearl lived a life marked by warmth, faith, and a love for community.
She was known for her joyful spirit and diverse interests, which included a fondness for cruises, playing cards, singing, playing the piano, and an ever-present desire to make new friends. These passions enriched the lives of those around her and spoke to her loving and hospitable nature.
Minnie Pearl is survived by her devoted daughter, Tammy Mason; her brother, Willard Gordon Thomas; Kathy Mason daughter in law, Lauren Pitts adopted daughter and a loving family, including grandchildren Crystal (Sue) Mercedes & Steven Parrish, Mark (Caleb) & Katie Williams, and Tommy Dean Mason Jr. & Natalie Dunn as well as great-grandchildren Grayson Williams, Lainey Williams, Hudson Williams, William Dean Mason, Savannah Marie Mason, and Harold James Dean Mason. Their presence stands as a testament to her enduring legacy and the deep love she shared with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Mason; her sons, Tommy Dean Mason Sr., Marcus Beckler, William Beckler, and Bonnie Beckler; and her parents, Willard and Minnie LouVena Thomas. These cherished family members now rest in peace, awaiting reunion.
A visitation to honor Minnie Pearl Mason will be held on May 20, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Wolf Funeral Services - Morton, located at 3054 Hwy 80 West, Morton, Mississippi. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 2:00 p.m. at the same location. Officiating Clergy will be Pastor Jimmy Ellis, Bro. Daniel Hester and Bro. Gregory Malone. Pallbearers will be Tommy Dean Mason Jr., Steven Parrish, Mark Williams, Kevin Craig, Caleb Ellis, and Michael Huff. Family, friends, and all who knew Minnie Pearl are invited to join in celebrating her life, sharing memories, and paying respects.
Minnie Pearl Mason’s legacy is one of faith, love, and unrelenting kindness—a radiant example to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she touched.
