Melissa Lee Meeks, 45, a resident of Morton passed away Monday, August 01, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton on Thursday, August 04, 2011 from 12:30 until 1:30 pm with a graveside service following at 2:00 PM in the East Morton Baptist Cemetery, Morton, MS. Officiating was Bro. Paul Smith. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Melissa had lived in Morton for the past 30 years moving from Michigan and was a member of Lena Baptist Church. She was very active in the Relay for Life Walks in her mother’s memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Leon and Darlene Catherine Null, father and mother-in-law, James and Gladys Meeks.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Meeks of Morton; one daughter, Brandy Lee Catherine Meeks of Morton; three sons, Christopher Leon Meeks, Michael James Meeks and Ryan Allan Meeks all of Morton; one step-daughter, Katherine Denise Meeks of Morton; three sisters, Debra McCulloch of Kalamazoo, MI; Deana Null of Montague, MI; Dana Priddy of Erie, PA; three brothers, Richard McCulloch of Kalamazoo, MI; David McCulloch of Carthage; Eric Null of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Hailey Lee Michelle Meeks, Zoey Camille Meeks, and Alexis Nakole Meeks.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Ogletree, Jerry Bone, Ethan Martin, John McCumber, Diego Reyes, and Willie Tatum.
