Flossie M. Measells

Mrs. Flossie M. Measells, age 79, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS and Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM At Leesburg Baptist Church in Morton, MS. Services will be held at 11:00 AM all at Leesburg Baptist Church in Morton, MS. Burial will follow at Leesburg Baptist Cemetery in Morton, MS. Bro. Donn Lum and Bro. Dennis Ellingburg will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Mrs. Measells was born to Bill Joe Thompson and Florence Smith on January 10, 1943, in Rankin County, MS. She was a lifelong resident of Leesburg, MS. Mrs. Measells taught Sunday School for over forty years and participated in any and all church activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Joe and Florence Thompson. Mrs. Measells is survived by her husband of fifty-five years Colin Measells of Morton, MS; daughter, Brandi Johns (Ty) of Morton,MS; two sisters, Deener Hammons of Brandon, MS and Pasty Lawler (Steve) of Pearl, MS; two brothers, Billy Joe Thompson (Dorothey) of Brandon, MS and J.B. Thompson (Pauline) of Pelahatchie, MS; one grandchild Tyler Johns and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Travis Thompson, Marty Allen, Joey Champion, Cameron Measels, Garrett Measels, and Gaines Measels. Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Thompson, Jeffery Champion, Cole Thompson, Devin Hammons and Leon Franklin.
