Doris Mcgee

Doris A. McGee spread her white sails to the morning breeze on May 24, 2018 in Kenner, Louisiana. She was born to Moody and Vermelle McGee on September 18, 1932 and grew up in Morton, MS. She enjoyed a long career with Bellsouth and AT&T and made her home in Metairie, Louisiana, loving all excitement and adventures the city life offered. Doris donated her body to the Bureau of Anatomical Services in New Orleans to further medical research. A private graveside service at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery south of Forest, MS. will be held at a later date where Doris will be laid to rest beside her Mother and Father.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Moody and Vermelle McGee, sister, Audrey Nell Bennett, brothers, William Dale McGee and Glenn Otis McGee. She is survived by her brother, Johnny Austin McGee (Tika) sister, Norma Jo McGee Davis (Otis), brother in law, Phil Bennett, sister in law, Inez McGee, a host of nieces, nephews, and others that just loved Doris. God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts.
