Ollie B Mccurdy

Mr. Ollie B. McCurdy passed away Monday October 28, 2019 at Morton Care Center in Morton, MS. A visitation will be held at New Liberty Baptist Church on Tuesday October 29, 2019 from 5:00PM – 8:30PM and again on Wednesday October 30, 2019 from 8:00 AM until 9:50 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM at New Liberty Baptist Church with burial to follow at New Liberty Baptist Cemetery. Brother Paul Smith and Geary Walton will officiate.
Mr. McCurdy was born July 1, 1927 in Scott County, MS where he spent his life and raised his family. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Branch, MS. Mr. McCurdy liked gardening and hunting and he loved eating catfish. He loved people and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mr. McCurdy is preceded in death by his parents; Lane McCurdy and Ollie Thompson; His wife, Nebra Dell McCurdy, daughter in law, Helen McCurdy and great grandson, Kurt McCurdy and grandson, Brandon McCurdy as well as seven siblings.
He is Survived by his " Good Sons" as he always said,Frank McCurdy of Morton, MS, Dennis Ray McCurdy (Dorlene) of Morton, MS, Wilbur McCurdy(Betty) of Morton, MS, Willie McCurdy of Morton, MS, Billy McCurdy( Lisa) of Morton, MS; ten grandchildren and eighteen great- grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
