Lillie (Kathy) Catherine Murdie

Lillie (Kathy) Murdie, age 76, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, surrounded by her family at her residence.  Her memorial services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS.  Bro. Jess Dilley will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services. 

Kathy was Born on June 13, 1947, to Willie Addison Bugg and Lillie Georgia Nelson in Newton, MS.  She was a lifelong resident of the Ringgold Community.  Kathy enjoyed painting, line dancing and collecting antiques.  She would be described as a true southern bell who loved her family, animals, and spending time in her Victorian rose garden. 

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lillie Bugg, her brother, Medford (Buddy) Bugg, and her nephew Mike Bugg.  She is survived by her husband, Larry Murdie of Forest, MS; her two daughters, Tami Hollingsworth (Ted) of Lake, MS, and Kelli Clayton (Van) of Madden, MS; her son, Casey Murdie (Brandi) of Lake Forest, CA; her sister, Carol B. Harris of Bentonville, AR; her seven grandchildren, Cody Hollingsworth (Devyn), Garrett Hollingsworth (Courtney), Ty Hollingsworth, Makayla and Kensington Murdie, Jace and Riley Clayton; her two great granddaughters, Anistyn Hollingsworth and Layton Hollingsworth; and one great grandson, Wyatt Hollingsworth.
