Rev. Neal D. Keeton, Sr. age 64, passed away Sunday January 13, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Friday January 18, 2019 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS and Saturday January 19, 2019 from 12:30PM until 1:50PM at Mt. Carmel M.B. Church in Morton, MS. Services will be held Saturday January 19, 2019 at 2:00PM at Mt. Carmel M.B. Church in Morton, MS with burial at Lovelady Cemetery in Forest, MS. There will be no graveside services. Repast will follow at Mt. Carmel M.B. Church in Morton, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Cartez Keeton. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Rev. Keeton had been a resident in Forest, MS for the past twenty years, formerly living in Morton, MS. He is a Missionary Baptist by Faith and a member of Mt. Carmel M.B. Church in Morton, MS. He was a 1973 graduate of Morton High School. He retired from Color Box in Pelahatchie, MS after fifteen years. Rev. Keeton had served as Pastor of Mt. Carmel M.B. Church in Morton, MS for the past fifteen years. At one time he served on the Morton Volunteer Fire Department as a first responder. Rev. Keeton was president of the Scott County District of Congress of Christian Education in Morton, MS. He loved spending time with his family and he was a very humble man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Birdie Keeton; his son, Walter James McBride, Jr.; two sisters, Ella F. Duckworth; and Dorothy Ervin. He is survived by his wife, Dialene Keeton of Forest, MS; six sons, Neal D. Keeton, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; Leviticus Keeton of Morton, MS; Jamie White of Houston, TX; Reginald White of Lubbock TX; Malcolm McBride of London, England; and Kelvin McBride of Jackson, MS; two daughters, Quentina White of Forest, MS; and Makeba White of Brandon, MS; three sisters, Gloria Parker of Laurel, MS; Ruby Satcher of Laurel, MS; Beverly Portis of Jackson, MS; three brothers, Archie L. Keeton, Sr. of Morton, MS; Gerald Keeton, Sr. of Morton, MS; and Fred Jerome Keeton of Las Vegas, NV; twenty one grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; Also, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
