Joseph Kane Guilbeau, born April 02, 1980, in Hinds County, Mississippi, passed away on April 18, 2026, at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a cherished son, brother, father, and friend whose life was marked by dedication, passion, and an enduring love for the outdoors. He also shared a passion for LSU and LSU football.
Kane spent most of his life in Morton, Mississippi, where he embraced the values of hard work and community under the guiding principles of his Baptist faith. As a devoted hazmat supervisor, he applied his expertise and leadership in various locations throughout his career, earning respect and commitment to safety. Beyond his professional life, Kane was truly an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, baseball, and playing poker. His enthusiasm for life extended into a second family at the Adult & Teen Challenge Mid-America in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where he made a meaningful impact.
He is lovingly remembered by his father, Lester Guilbeau; daughters, Ella Grace Bennett and Kurby Guilbeau; sons, Gage Bennett, Blayze Guilbeau, and Kajun Guilbeau; sister, Tonya Kelly; brother, Shane Guilbeau; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives who carry his memory in their hearts. Kane was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Guilbeau, and his maternal and paternal grandparents, whose legacies live on.
The family would like to thank Superior Environmental Solutions for their undying love and support of Kane. Also, they are requesting no flowers and all memorials be made to the Adult & Teen Challenge Mid-America in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m., followed by a funeral service beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel, located at 3054 Hwy 80 West in Morton, Mississippi.
Joseph Kane Guilbeau’s life was a testament to an enduring spirit. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
