Peggy Jones, 66, a resident of Lake passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at her residence. Visitation was Friday, March 5, 2011 at Wolf Funeral Services from 5:30 until 8:00 pm and Sunday March 6, 2011 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral services were at Sharon Primitive Baptist Church in Scott County at 2:00 pm with burial in the Sharon Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Officiating was Elder George Gardner, Rev. Kenny Lang, Elder Leroy Moseley and Elder Wayne Myers. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Peggy was a lifetime resident of the Goodhope Community in Scott County and she was a member of the Sharon Primitive Baptist Church. Peggy loved her flowers, her home and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Thelma Judge; cousin, whom she considered her sister, Delores Harris.
She is survived by her husband, Edgar Jones, Lake; one daughter, Vaneesa Stevens and husband Brian, Lake; one son, Vince Edwards, Lake; special aunt, Mary Ellie Hollingsworth, Lake; three grandchildren, Zane Michael Stevens, Zack Edwards, Brittany Edwards; one great-grandchild, Kason Taylor Edwards; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers were Phillip Harris, Robert Devoter, Charlie Noel, Byron Hollingsworth, Chad Hollingsworth, and Pepper Culpepper. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Hollingsworth, Larry Judge, and Terry Judge.
