Mr. Samuel Johnson, age 64, passed away on Thursday August 03, 2017 at the Scott Regional Hospital in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Friday August 11, 2017 from 12:00PM until 5:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 12, 2017 at 10:00AM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS with Rev. Eric Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Gift M.B. Cemetery in Morton, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Branch, MS and was a member of the Pleasant Gift M.B. Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Ada Johnson; two brothers, Freddie Johnson and Chester Johnson; and one sister, Ida Mae Morgan. He is survived by six children, Samuel Johnson, Jr. of Morton, MS, Marcus Johnson (Letonia) of Brandon, MS, Tyrone Johnson of Morton, MS, Joshua Johnson of Morton, MS, Tara Smith (Michael) of Morton, MS, and Kimberly Edwards (Antious) of Jackson, MS; three sisters, Vernell Gipson of Morton, MS, Annie Lois Lyles of Morton, MS, and Quester Lloyd of Morton, MS; one brother, Eddie Johnson, Jr. of Morton, MS; eight grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
