Jerry (JJ) Porter

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of William Jerry Porter III (JJ), 33, of Harperville, MS, who left this world far too soon on April 16, 2026.

Though his time here was short, JJ filled every moment with meaning and love to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a gentle spirit and beautiful soul, known for his kindness, laughter, and love that will leave an imprint on our hearts that will never fade.

Born on April 29, 1992, JJ was a cherished father, son, brother, grandson, loving partner, and friend who brought joy into our lives. He is survived by his fiance', Brittney Perkins, daughter Emilia Delane Porter, mother Cindy Marie Gilmer (James), father William Jerry Porter II (Stephanie), sister Haley Porter, brother Sawyer Porter, step-siblings Kyle Gentry, Korey Gentry, and Krissie Gentry, paternal grandmother Betty Stanford, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents William Jerry Porter "Bill" (Gloria) and maternal grandparents Spear Gilmer (Estelle).

He lived with such sincerity that, though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing his light will continue to shine through our memories and Millie.
