Jeraldine Ray Lingle, born on June 4, 1942, in Neshoba County, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a cherished member of the Kracker Station Community in Morton, MS, where she had resided since 1984, formerly from Philadelphia, MS.
Throughout her life, Jeraldine embraced her passions with grace and dedication. She found joy in sewing, cooking, crocheting, quilting, and was a devoted fan of the television program General Hospital. These pursuits not only enriched her life but also brought warmth and comfort to those around her.
Jeraldine is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cynthia Marshall (Richard) and Susan Raye Cook, as well as her sons, Marcus Glen "Pete" Lingle (Theresa) and Butch Lingle (Marie). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Amanda Adcox, Robert Phillips (Courtney), Dustin Lingle (Jeimy), Deyton Lingle (Daylin), Adrian Sorey (Tyler), and Gage Lingle, and is further carried on by her great-grandchildren Khloi Adcox, Braxton Phillips, Brynley Phillips, Branson Phillips, Hudsyn Lingle, Seylor Lingle, and Sutton Lingle. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who fondly remember her kindness and spirit.
Jeraldine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dwight Lingle; her parents, Lois and Claude Ray; her sister, Walterine Fagan; her brother and sister-in-law, Jack Ray and Jean; and her nephew, Michael Ray.
The family will honor her memory with a visitation on June 22, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services - Morton, located at 3054 Hwy 80 West, Morton, Mississippi 39117. Graveside service will follow at the Independence Methodist Cemetery in Morton, MS. Pallbearers will be Pete Lingle, Dustin Lingle, Deyton Lingle, Butch Lingle, Robert Phillips, Ricky Dean, and Braxton Phillips. Bro. Tim Lott will officiate services.
Jeraldine Ray Lingle’s life was a testament to love, hard work, and the quiet strength found in dedication to family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
