Sarah Mattie Jenkins, 77, a resident of Homewood passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at Lackey Memorial Hospital. Visitation was held at Lorena Baptist Church Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm at the church and burial was in the Lorena Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Tommy Anderson. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jenkins had lived in Homewood, MS for most of her life and she was a member of Lorena Baptist Church, Lorena, MS. She enjoyed quilting and playing bingo.
Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Woodrow Jenkins.
She is survived by three sons, Carl Barrett of Homewood; Aaron Matthew Jenkins of Homewood; and Tim Jenkins of Florence; one sister, Marie Nelson of Moore, OK; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Keith Phillips, Jeff Phillips, Terry Phillips, Steven “Skip” Herring, Lee Wicker, and Chris Bufkin.
