Jeanie Easterling

Mrs. Jeanie Crapps Easterling, age 74, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at her residence in Morton, MS.  Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS.  Her services will take place in our Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Morton Memorial Gardens in Morton, MS.  Rev. Jim Burns and Rev. Ryan McGough will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

Mrs. Easterling was born on October 1, 1949, in Scott County, MS to Alex and Leona Crapps.   She was a native of Ludlow, MS and she lived in Morton, MS for the past fifty-five years.  Mrs. Easterling was a member of Independence United Methodist Church of Morton, MS.  She was a 1967 graduate of Pisgah High School and then started her career in banking with Bank of Morton, then Citizens Bank which is now Priority Bank and ended her banking career at Community Bank.  Mrs. Easterling enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Easterling was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Leona Crapps; her four brothers, Wayne, Bill, Kenneth and Walter Crapps; her sister, Patricia Crapps; her nephew Walter Crapps, Jr.  She is survived by her husband, Stites Easterling, Sr. of Morton, MS; her son, Stites Easterling, Jr. (Kristy) of Pelahatchie, MS; her sister Janelle Armstrong of Lena, MS; her brother, Buford Crapps of Lena, MS; her two grandchildren, Chance Easterling and Katie Easterling and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Randy Easterling, Clarence Crapps, Russell Armstrong, Jack Armstrong, James Crapps and Casey Easterling.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Independence United Methodist Church.
