Jane Smithhart Risher, 84, passed away on October 01, 2026, at her residence in Morton, Mississippi.

She was born on February 06, 1942, in Texas. Mrs. Risher lived a life rooted in faith and family. She was a member of Oak Grove Church of God, a connection that remained an important part of her life and community. Jane enjoyed her friends and family and loved to play dominoes.

She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to cherish her memory. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Lavon Smithhart Jr. (Mary Ann), of Polkville, Mississippi; John Curtis Smithhart (Tonya) of Pulaski, Mississippi; David Alan Smithhart (Miche) of Rosenberg, Texas; and by her daughter, Amber Lea Smithhart Whitehead (Chum) of Polkville, Mississippi. She is also survived by John David Harvill (Nan) of Anchorage, Alaska; Mary Kay Neason (Henry) of Valley Mills, Texas, who thought of Jane as their mother as well. Jane also leaves behind eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Their lives stand as part of the lasting legacy she leaves to those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends will remember Jane with affection and gratitude, and her memory will remain dear to all who shared in her life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 09, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:30 until 9:45 a.m. at Oak Grove Church of God. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Church of God, with interment at Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery.
