Mrs. Jackie Darlene Bufkin Jones

Jackie Darlene Bufkin Jones, a cherished member of the Morton community and devoted wife, mother, and sister, passed away on June 14, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Born on March 1, 1964, in Hinds County, Mississippi, Jackie made a lasting impression on all who knew her through her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and faith.

For the past 26 years, Jackie called Vicksburg, Mississippi, her home. She was a member of the New Life Tabernacle Church in Morton, MS. Her passion extended beyond her spiritual commitments; she found great joy in gardening and cherished spending quality time with her family. These pursuits reflected her nurturing spirit and the deep love she held for those close to her.

Jackie is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Gerard Jones, who stood faithfully by her side throughout their life together. She is also survived by her children: son Cody Wayne Hutchinson (Ashley), and daughter Kristy Darlene Hutchinson (James). Her family legacy further flourishes through nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the light she so generously shared.

Jackie is survived by her brothers Leon Bufkin, Travis Bufkin, and Donald Joe Bufkin, as well as her sisters Virginia Faye Wicker and Jennifer Wright. These living family members continue to honor her memory and the cherished moments shared.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Percy James and Virginia Wydell Bufkin, and by her brothers James Lamar and Henry Arthur Bufkin. One sister, Kathy Diane Bufkin Fortenberry, four nieces, and one nephew who have passed before her.

The community will gather to pay their respects during a visitation held at Wolf Funeral Services - Morton, located at 3054 Hwy 80 West, Morton, MS 39117. The visitation will take place on June 19, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m.  These moments will be reserved for farewell, reflection, and honoring a life beautifully lived and deeply loved.

Jackie Darlene Bufkin Jones leaves behind a legacy of devotion, selflessness, and heartfelt care. Her memory will remain an enduring source of inspiration and comfort to all who were privileged to know her. May she rest in peace.
