August 25, 2009, marked the arrival of a beautiful and promising life, Isaiah Washington, a native of Lena, Mississippi, born to Connie Washington and the late James Washington.
At an early age, Isaiah accepted Christ and became a devoted member of the Zion Outreach Deliverance Ministry under the leadership of Apostle Diane Boyd. His faith and presence within the ministry reflected the light he carried so naturally.
Isaiah, affectionately known as "Coop", was a sophomore in the Class of 2028 at Morton High School. A dedicated and talented athlete, he proudly wore jersey #18 on the football field. Isaiah's passion for football was undeniable; his skill, discipline, and determination earned him recognition awards, scholarship opportunities, and college tours as he worked toward a future in the sport he loved.
Beyond athletics, Isaiah had aspirations that spoke to his caring spirit. He quietly celebrated being accepted into a Veterinary Academy summer program, an accomplishment that reflected his dream of one day working with animals, a goal he held close to his heart.
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Isaiah completed his earthly journey, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. Though his time here was brief, his impact was immeasurable. Known and loved by many, Isaiah carried himself with confidence, a radiant smile, and a genuine spirit that drew people to him effortlessly.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Washington; grandparents, Rayford and Mary K. Ealy; uncles, Paul T. Ealy, Charles C. Ealy, Tommie Lee Ealy; and cousins, Joshua Ealy, Tony Boyd, and Cleveland Ealy.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving mother, Connie Washington; his siblings, Danielle Ealy, Cotina Washington, Keanu Washington, Kenielle Washington, Latarius Washington, and Daryl Washington; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, devoted friends, coaches, and his classmates of the Class of 2028.
Isaiah was truly a blessing to all who knew him. His smile, his love for others, and his vibrant presence will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed, yet lovingly remembered always.
