Mrs. Ruby Holmes age 90 a resident of Morton, MS. passed away on Wednesday January 14, 2015 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Friday January 16, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Friday January 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Burial will follow in the Morton Memorial Gardens in Morton, MS. Officiating is Bro. David Bryant and Bro. Tal Vardaman. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Holmes was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. She was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church in Morton, MS. She loved to fish and cook for her family.
Mrs. Holmes is preceded in death by her husband, Julius Hardy Holmes in 2006; one infant son, Joseph Holmes; parents, Henry and Josie Parker; one sister, Mary Waggoner; three brothers, Dick Parker, John Parker, Arlie Parker. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Holmes of Forest, MS., Henry C. Holmes and wife Brenda of Morton, MS., Carl Holmes and wife Shirley of Morton, MS.; one daughter, Carolyn Avera and husband Phillip of Morton, MS.; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Billy Graves, Charles Stephenson, Daniel Holmes, Giles Holmes, Stacey Holmes, Tyler Bounds. Honorary pallbearers are Joey Smith, Larry Meeks.
