A beloved member of his community, Harvey was deeply involved with Hopewell Baptist Church, a testament to his devotion and faith.
With a distinguished career spanning over forty-five years, Harvey served as a retail manager with CVS in Forest, Mississippi, contributing significantly to the lives of many through his work. His commitment extended beyond his profession; he was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who cherished the simple joys of hunting and fishing. His passion for nature was only matched by his love for family, making each Christmas and other holiday season a cherished occasion filled with laughter and togetherness.
Harvey took great pride in living a life of service to God and was a dedicated member of the Gideons, reflecting his steadfast faith and desire to make a difference in the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Burns of Lake, MS; his son, Chad Burns; his daughter, Connie Wood; his two step-sons, Scottie Moore and Dwayne Moore; and his sister, Linda Honea. Harvey also leaves behind special friends Mark McDonald and David Rives, who were an important part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Raymond and Beatrice Burns, who undoubtedly instilled values in him that shaped the man he became.
Harvey Thomas Burns will be missed dearly, remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. His legacy of love and service continues to inspire all who were fortunate to know him.
