Bonnie Jean Harvey

Mrs. Bonnie Jean Harvey age 88, passed away Friday August 9, 2019 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. A visitation will be held Sunday August 18, 2019 from 1:30 PM until 2:00PM at Hopewell Baptist Church in Lake, MS with a service following at 2:00 PM. Reverend Robert Hallman and Reverend John Acklen will officiate. Burial will be at Hopewell Baptist Cemetery in Lake, MS.There will be no graveside service.

Mrs. Harvey has lived in Forest, MS since 1962 after moving from Shreveport, LA. She was Baptist by faith, and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Lake, MS. Mrs. Harvey retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1995. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing and reading books. She is preceded in death by her sister Elsie Gravesen; her brother, Andy Andrews; and her husband, Dewey Harvey. She is survived her son; Kenneth Harvey ( Marilynne) of Forest, MS; Sister, Geneva Hollenshead of Minden, LA; grandson, Jeremy Harvey (Amy) of Byram, MS; great- granddaughters, Hanna Harvey and Brittany Johnson.
