Harlye Mikel Wicker, born January 2, 1996, in Flowood, Mississippi, passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2026, at Smith County Emergency Hospital in Raleigh, MS. At only 30 years of age, Harlye’s life was tragically cut short, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.
A resident of Lake, Mississippi for the past four years, Harlye moved from Homewood, MS, and quickly became known and loved in his new community. Those who knew Harlye will remember him as an avid outdoorsman, deeply passionate about fishing and the calm of nature. He had a true love for mechanics, a skill that brought him many hours of joy, especially when shared with his beloved brother Devon, whom he often called for advice and support. The gentle rhythm of tending to his poultry farm brought him fulfillment throughout the years, a testament to his strong work ethic and love for the land.
Harlye’s family formed the foundation of his world, and his memory will be forever carried forward by those closest to him. He is survived by his loving fiancée, Haley Judge; his devoted parents, Mike and JaDonne Wicker; and his brother, Devon (Linley) Wicker. Harlye’s greatest pride was his children—his sons, Swae Judson Wicker and Ridge Parker Wicker, and his daughters, Loxley Shannon Watson and Sara Carmen Smith. Each of them not only brought him immense happiness, but was also touched by his steadfast love and unwavering support.
He is mourned by his grandparents Eldon and Frances Haralson, Linda Wicker, and Glenn Wicker, all of whom held a special place in his heart. The bonds of family stood strong and were a source of profound joy for Harlye throughout his life.
In remembering those who preceded him in death, Harlye now joins his daughter Swayzie Luellen Wicker, grandparents William Leonard Wicker and Ruth Clarice Wicker, and grandfather Mickey Cecil Parker. Their spirits live on in the stories and memories that remain.
A visitation honoring Harlye’s life will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, Mississippi (136 Front Street, Lake, MS 39092), followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Interment will take place at Pine Ridge Baptist Cemetery (Pine Ridge Rd, Lawrence, MS 39336), officiated by Bro. Curtis Roland. Pallbearers will be: Matt Elkins, Travis Lowe, Jack Batte, Blake Taylor, Shelby Patterson, and Austin Means. Honorary pallbearers are Mitch Parkman and Mickey Richardson.
All who knew Harlye Mikel Wicker will forever hold in their hearts the memory of a man who cherished his family, lived for the open sky, and gifted a lifetime of love in his too-brief years amongst us.
