Roger “Little Roger” Dewitt Gray, Jr., 28, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 in Pelahatchie, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 5:30 until 9:00 pm and again on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 12:30 until 1:45 pm. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm in the chapel with burial following in Crossroads Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. John Vaughn. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton will be in charge of arrangements.
Roger was a lifelong resident of Pelahatchie and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. He attended East Rankin Academy until the 7th grade where he played football, then transferred to Pelahatchie High School. He loved to fish, ride 4-wheelers and hang out with his friends, and would do anything for anyone. He will be missed greatly by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dee and Pauline Gray, uncle, David Wayne Gray.
He is survived by his parents, Roger and Peggy Gray of Pelahatchie, MS; his fiancee’, Kayla Richards of Pelahatchie, MS; maternal grandparents, Ercell and Sue Wilcher of Morton, MS; three aunts, Debra McIntyre of Stewart, Ms; Vickie Coghlan of Morton, MS; and Patty Till of Morton, MS; one uncle, Dee Gray of Pelahatchie, MS; and a number of cousins and numerous friends and godchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roger Gray, Luke King, Thomas Richards, Jeremy Rakinic, William Irby, and Brandon Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Martin, Jamie Martin, Jr., Seth Richards, Dustin McMillan, Derrick Scoggins, and Brian Benson.
