Floyd “Bo” Blissett, 74, of Morton, MS, peacefully went home to be with the Lord at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, on Monday, February 9, 2026.
Bo was born in Morton, MS, on October 23, 1951. His full name was Floyd Edward Blissett, but his absolute favorite name to be called was “Paw Paw.” He lived to love his family and serve them, however and whenever he could. Bo was an active member of Salem Baptist Church in Lake, MS, where he loved to worship the Lord and be surrounded by his church family, whom he adored deeply.
Bo was a true car enthusiast and had a lifelong passion for hot-rod cars, especially Chevrolet Corvettes. One of his favorite hobbies was buying vehicles to fix, detail, and resell for pleasure. His other hobbies included traveling with his beloved wife, Renea; spending time in the woods—especially with his son, Jordan; and enjoying time with his grandchildren. He faithfully and selflessly poured into his family, honoring the Lord in the way that he loved them.
Bo held various job positions over the years and was gifted in entrepreneurship, but most recently retired from Crosby Farms in Lake, MS, where he assisted with farm maintenance. After retirement, most weekday mornings, you could find Bo at Mater’s and Tater’s in Lake, MS, enjoying a cup of coffee with friends he cherished very much.
Bo is survived by his wife, Renea Blissett; his brother, George Blissett (Danise); his children, Jordan Blissett (Jessi) and Haley Wales (Matt); his stepdaughter, Becca Herring; his grandchildren, Brynnley Blissett, Baylor Blissett, and Wrenn Wales; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Bo was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Evelyn Blissett, and his father, Wallace Blissett.
A celebration of Bo’s life will be held on Thursday, February 12, at Salem Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the service following at 11:00 a.m
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Baker and the staff at Jackson Oncology, as well as the doctors and staff at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, for the outstanding care, kindness, and support shown to him and our family throughout his treatment.
