Mr. Ethridge had lived in Florence, MS for the past five years. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. He loved the outdoors with wonderful past times of squirrel hunting, fishing and riding in his jeep just looking at nature. He loved to travel, especially if it included a trip to the Smokey Mountains. He also loved watching football games, from high school all the way to the pros. His love for the MSU Bulldogs was especially evident. But his favorite joy in all the world was spending time with family and friends. He had been a businessman all his life, so the interaction with people just came natural to him. He never met a stranger and always made everyone feel like they were just as important as the next person. In his later years, every visit started off the same with questions about how each member of the family was doing (including pets) and he wanted more details than just “good”. It was very important to him that his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were well and happy. He was loving, caring, and just plain fun! His family is grateful and blessed to have had him in their lives.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Ethridge; and a great grandson, Brantley Clark. He is survived by his son, Tony Ethridge (Lynda), of Brunswick, GA, his daughter, Renee Clark (Barry), of Florence, MS, brother, David Ethridge (Nancy), of Decatur, MS, granddaughter, Laura Wodniak Herdman (John), of Aurora, CO, grandsons, Brent Clark (Jenna), of Flowood, MS, Chris Ethridge, of Webster, TX, and Michael Clark, of Florence, MS.; great-grandchildren, Cayla and Piper Wodniak, of Aurora, CO, Addy Rose Clark, of Florence, MS, Bronson and Neely Clark, of Flowood, MS and much loved nephews and nieces as well as many friends.
Pallbearers are David Ethridge, Randy Ethridge, Mike Ethridge, Brent Clark, Michael Clark and Keith Dennis.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Villa South Assisted Living in Florence, MS for the wonderful love and care given to Mr. Milton. His family always wanted him to be taken care of, to be happy and to know he was loved. They certainly provided all three.
